“Angst” Showing 2/5/19 Please join us for a PTSA-sponsored screening of the acclaimed film Angst: Anxiety is treatable- it’s okay to say. You can order your tickets online now or buy them at the door.
This documentary delves into the growing epidemic of tween and teen anxiety as well as discusses powerful ways kids (and adults) can cope.

Tickets are $5 each, pay what you can, or free for those that paying is a hardship. Funds go to offset the Angst licensing fee. Doors open at 6 pm, screening begins promptly at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Contact Sarah Vanbuskirk, slvanbuskirk@gmail.com with any questions or if you can help at the event.
PPS Successful Schools Survey: Family Feedback
Your responses will help your school understand your experience and use them to set goals and plan for next year. The survey will cover topics on school safety, school climate, barriers to family engagement, racial equity and inclusion as well as how well your school fits your student’s needs. Please be honest and thoughtful, and take your time to read and respond to the questions.

Please visit the link below on a computer, tablet, or smartphone and select the school your child attends. If you do not have access to a computer or internet, please contact your school office so we can provide a way for you to take the survey.

PPS Calendar for 2020 - 2021 Approved Mark your calendars now for fall dates, here is the approved calendar for the next school year.
The da Vinci Green Team is BACK! If your student is interested in sustainability and working on "Green" projects at school, please talk to them about joining the da Vinci Green Team! This group will focus on projects on-campus to improve the sustainability of our school such as reducing cafeteria waste (disposable forks, trays), rain garden, solar roof, and classroom recycling. Students will learn about the challenges facing our planet while taking action in their school.
The Green Team will meet in Mr. Heiggelke's science class (room 105) at lunch on Fridays, facilitated by da Vinci mom and Eco-School Network member, Sasha Rose. If you have questions or would like to be involved as a parent volunteer, please contact: Sasha.Rose.PDX@gmail.com
Spring Jazz Band will begin on Wednesday, February 5th from 3:30-4:45 in the music room. All students who know how to read music are welcome to attend.

Trogdor Auditions for the spring will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 3:30 in the Music Building. If you have questions please contact Mr. Gerolami or Mz. Daley.

Parking and Traffic Reminders Please be cautious and courteous during drop off and pick up in front of the school. A parent recently reported a hit and run on her car during drop off when a car pulled out from the curb too close. Please reserve the parking places in the back that are marked for those with a Handicap Permit and those for Alternative Fuel cars. If you are sitting and waiting, please turn off your car.
