Forecasting for High School
Students headed to Cleveland, Franklin, Grant, Madison and Roosevelt should have received forecasting materials from counselors that came to da Vinci. These forms are now due. Please review and sign them and make sure they get back to the office at da Vinci or the Counseling office.
Jefferson- Forecasting for Jefferson will take place at Jefferson. Plan to attend one of these dates: Wednesday, 2/27/20 at 6:30 in the Cafeteria or Tuesday, 3/5/20 at 6:30 in the Cafeteria.
Lincoln- Information for students going to Lincoln is on their website
Lottery results for High School Choice applications will be announced soon.
“Angst” Showing 2/5/19 Please join us for a PTSA-sponsored screening of the acclaimed film Angst: Anxiety is treatable it’s okay to say. This documentary delves into the growing epidemic of tween and teen anxiety as well as discusses powerful ways kids (and adults) can cope.

Tickets are $5 each, pay what you can, or free for those that paying is a hardship. Funds go to offset the Angst licensing fee. The PTSA will also be selling snacks and drinks before the show. Doors open at 6pm, screening begins promptly at 6:30pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Contact Sarah Vanbuskirk slvanbuskirk@gmail.com with any questions or if you can help at the event.
Ski Bus Are you interested in a ski bus leaving Grant High School on Saturdays in February? The bus is open to middle school students and up without parents, and all ages when accompanied by a parent. Here is the link to sign up and the various options available (bus, bus and lessons, bus and rental and lessons, etc):
December Music Concert is online. Here is a link to the da Vinci Music Concert if you missed it, want to watch again or want to share it with a loved one who could not come.
Be the Change Projects Students in 7th and 8th grades are working on a variety of service learning projects and we have several drives going on at school. All da Vinci families are invited to contribute what they are able. Donation bins are outside the office. These are items sought:
  • School supplies for students in foster care
  • Clothing to donate to homeless shelters
  • Food for Oregon Food Bank (see list of most useful items)
  • New athletic/sports wear for students in foster care for Project Lemonade
  • New or gently used white t-shirts (can also be light green or blue, solid colors, will be painted)
Be the Change- Safe Space, Peer Support Club One student (with parent supervision) is leading a peer support meeting, starting Wednesday, 1/29 in the cafeteria from 3:30 to 4:30pm. There will be snacks, activities, and discussion welcomed around how to be more kind to each other.
Team Olivia Update  There is another update on the GoFundMe as well as the Meal Train if any of you are able to help support this da Vinci family at this time. https://www.gofundme.com/f/g3w2r-3000?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet
Hello future world travelers! Want to travel to Greece next summer? See the original Olympic stadium? See the Temple of Apollo at Delphi? Go on a three day cruise to some of the Islands of Greece? If the answer is YES, grab your parent/guardian and join us for an info session on Wednesday, 1/22 from 6 to 7pm, in the drama room. Ask Heidi if you have questions.
Ghosted  follow up For 8th grade students who saw the Ghosted performance (and who have filled out the other two surveys), it would be greatly appreciated if you can fill out the final survey. Here is the link: https://redcap.kpwashingtonresearch.org/surveys/?s=88CCJTY77E
