Run for the Arts is Tomorrow! The forecast looks beautiful and we are planning to run at the end of the day. You can still get pledges of support and we still need some volunteers to cheer on the runners, mark laps and hand out popsicles at the end. Our goal for this fundraiser is $10,000 and every dollar gets us closer to covering expenses for theater tech for all of our performances, after school music programs, guest resident teachers for visual arts and dance and more. The run will take place from 2:30 to 3 pm. Set up a runner online donation site with Young Audiences now.

Students should dress comfortably in shoes for running or walking outside and bring a water bottle.

Volunteers Needed!
There are now several signups ready for upcoming events. Please take a look and sign up to help where you can. We cannot do these things without family support. We really need some more volunteers for locker priming or students will not be able to paint next week.

2019-2010 Enrollment Dates Please see the PPS Enrollment and Transfer site for more information about next year’s enrollment for High School and the MS lottery window.

PIL Winter Sports Registration Now Meetings and registration for youth basketball and wrestling are beginning soon. Please see the PIL website for cluster-specific information. Students participate in their HS area teams.
The Safe Routes to School travel survey is now open! Complete the survey today and help your school! Schools with 20% participation or more will receive a $100 gift card for supplies. The survey is open until November 8th.
This fall there are some changes - the survey is online only now. Why? It will save the Safe Routes to School team a lot of time, paper and money.
The travel survey helps the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) improve its Safe Routes to School program and helps prioritize safety projects when funding is available. Additionally, the data collected through this survey is key for Safe Routes to School to secure grant funding for safety programming and infrastructure throughout the city.
Counseling Survey The Counseling Team (Katie the Counselor and Hilary & Heather the Intern Counselors) is developing counseling goals for the school year! We have created a quick 5-minute survey for parents and guardians to gather information about areas your child could use support with. Your responses will help us immensely in determining our areas of focus with our students this year!

To complete the survey, click HERE! (Or copy this link into your browser https://forms.gle/FS3AnfY1GQ2UEPQs8)

If you are having a hard time accessing the survey, would like the survey in a language other than English, or have any other concerns, please email Hilary the Intern Counselor at hismith@pps.net.

Race Matters: A community dialogue series Da Vinci Families are invited to participate in this conversation about race sponsored by Glencoe ES and Mt. Tabor MS PTAs. The events are at Taborspace, 5441 SE Belmont St. from 5:30 to 8 pm.
There is a series of three events planned; 10/10, 11/19 and 3/5/20. Childcare and pizza available upon request to munirahenry@gmail.com
