  • Arrive at da Vinci by 2:50 pm on Sunday, May 6th to prepare to load buses and depart by 3:00 pm. Parking will be available on the blacktop east of the school and behind the school. The front of the school on Everett St. is for bus loading only.
  • The packing list, reminder sheet and links to med forms, etc. are on the website.
  • Students should not pack more than they can carry themselves.
  • Meds MUST be in original containers. You will hand them to the teacher, who will give them to the nurse at the ODS site.
  • Don’t forget to bring a book for quiet time and a cup of soil from your home.

Forecasting Time!
The forecasting paper worksheets and link to the online form are on the website. If you have a rising 7th or 8th grader or a new student to da Vinci next year, please do both as soon as possible. Paper forms should be turned into the office.
Instructions for Counselor Katie:
  1. As a family, discuss and fill out the paper forecasting worksheet (this will assist you as you fill out the online form). Please keep in mind that we are not always able to give students their top preferences, so it's important that students are comfortable with all choices listed on their forecasting.
  2. Next, fill out the online forecasting form.  If you run into trouble with the online form, please contact Katie at kloewen@pps.net.
  3. Have your student turn in their paper forecasting worksheet to the main office.

Reminder about Dance/PE for 2018-19
New PPS 2018-19 PE requirements are such that ALL PPS middle school students, including da Vinci students, will be expected to take a minimum of one-quarter of dance during each of their three middle school years. As we meet our PE requirements through dance, all our students will either take, 1) One-quarter of dance; or 2) Year-long dance as an art class.

The Visual Arts & Creative Writing Capstone reception is Wednesday, May 16, 4-5 pm.
Traditionally da Vinci parents help us host the Capstone Reception by bringing refreshments and goodies, and helping out with set up and clean up. If you can help please sign up on this form. We will need lots of volunteers to make this happen.

Screenagers Showing, Wednesday, May 16, 6:30 pm, da Vinci’s Auditorium.
da Vinci’s PTSA is thrilled to present SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in the Digital Age, a documentary about the biggest parenting issue of our time;

Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span? Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that happening with her own kids and began a quest to uncover how it might impact their development. As with her other two award-winning documentaries on mental health, Ruston takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and also offers solutions on how adults can empower their kids to best navigate the digital world to find balance.
SCREENAGERS addresses the most pervasive parenting issue of our time head on—depicting teen struggles over social media, video games and internet addiction. The film empowers kids to best navigate the digital world and provides practical resources to help them do it.
